Due to conflicting information from UMAX, NewerRAM is recommending the use of 5 volt (not 3.3 volt) EDO (extended data out) memory. UMAX’s website says either FPM (fast paged mode) or EDO will work. Some of their manuals say only EDO will work. There is no technical reason for us to recommend EDO. The recommendation is made simply because Technical Support was getting too many calls from people convinced that they had been sent the wrong memory when they received FPM DIMMs.
Upgraded with one DIMM at a time.
The 16 MB of soldered memory is interleaved.
The E100 card provides both Ultra Wide SCSI and 100 baseT. Ultra Wide SCSI provides 16-bit wide, 40MB/sec data bus. 100baseT provides 100Mbits/sec data transfer rates, while still supporting 10baseT and/or AppleTalk.
